Wow, 2014 already. Doesn't time fly when you're... well... generally either drunk or asleep.
That said I'm taking off January from drinking, so hopefully I'll be able to get more work done than usual. Who knows, I may even be able to work out a solid and consistent art style. Hah! Yeah, probably not...

Huzzah! The first piece of my planned series is up!

The story will follow Lady Edith Van Fret and her time amongst the Weasel tribes of Salisbury Plain.

Trust me, it'll make more sense as it goes on.

Ok, so I've been less than attentive to my Deviant art account. Such lethargy ends here. I genuinly intend to start pitting ip artwork and doing all the (sigh) "networking" that is required to get it noticed. I have a new post up, and by using mt newer, simpler, easier system, I'll be able to actually work this plan without having to worry about spending what little free time I have, devoted to this website.
Later...

Hello imaginary boys and girls! Once again I find myself writing to no one in paticular (unless I count myself), but I am of course enjoying the theraputic element that comes with such discourse. A new year is here, and an impotant moment for myself as well. I have set as my new years resolution (Although i'm going to call it my New Year's REVOLUTION! clever, eh?) the task of writing a chapter of my book each month! With every chapter written, I shall put up three (count them; one, two, THREE!) pieces of relevent artwork displaying where I have reached in the story. This is not gonna begin until feb, but when it does, All you fantastic people who exist only in my ego will as thrilled as only I know you can be (you dirty bitches)!

Later gypsies!

It has occured to me that I have added all this artwork without putting it into context. These are all (apart from the panda, obviously) characters from a series of stories I am writing called Cynric Saga.
The story begins in the weeks immediately following the death of King Arthur (I know, but bear with me, k'?). Most of the characters shown are Saxons, and they form the nearest thing the story has to protagonists. Basically the entire plot is based around the poitical and militaristic issues that proceeded to tear the whole of Britain apart in the Early medieval period.
Cynric is an actual historic figure recorded in the Anglo-Saxon chronicle as an ancestor to the King Alfred the fgreat, who is basically the guy who (with the help of theraiding Vikings) turned England from seven knigdoms into one.
I am the first to admit that this may seem a bizarre topic for a Welshman to be writing about, but what can I say? I just find the Anglo-Saxons more interesting. I suppose in the same way that I cheer for Hans Gruber in Die Hard; sure hes evil, but he does it with style!

At last! I joined this bloody thing about a year ago and I've finally gotten round to working out what my password was so that i could stick some actual pictures on here! Of course saying that I haven't exactly been that prolific in terms of my artwork since then, so most of the art i am putting up is over a year old. But hey-ho. Perhaps this will give the motivation necessary to actually get creative again!
Or perhaps no one will see any of my work and I will sink into a pit of desair. In fact No one's probably ever going to read this anyway, so I suppose you could say that I'm talking to myself right now... Thats a bad sign. I wonder if that happens a lot? People set up blogs but nobody looks at them, so out of despair they start commenting on their own blogs. Only one day they take exception to a comment that they posted and an almighty row breaks out, and before they know it they're in a padded room deffacating in their straight jacket while a sweaty warden called Sonny licks their face.
Could happen. So a lesson for us all me thinks. Although saying that I am, as we (damn! I mean I!) discussed earlier, probably the only person who will ever read this. All those poor people...
